Terrace BC – Justin Kohlman, Coast Mountain College’s current Vice President Academic and Provost has been appointed by the college’s Board of Governors to fill the role of acting President once President & CEO Ken Burt completes his term in September.

Justin will fill the acting position until the end of December 2019 while a search for a new President takes place.

“Justin is passionate about student success and has done an outstanding job helping guide the institution toward its goal of becoming the college of choice for experiential place-based learning,” says Board Chair, Nicole Halbauer.  “We are confident that his leadership will ensure that the college continues to move forward, particularly as it relates towards reconciliation with our partners.”

CMTN’s Laurie Waye, Dean of Business, Access Education and Fine Arts will serve as the acting Vice President Academic during the transition.
