Introduction to Timber Cruising
Introduction to Timber Cruising provides students with basic field skills and knowledge to be employed as an assistant (compass-person) to a Timber Cruiser.  

During the 5-day course students will learn to use cruising equipment, establish cruise plots, measure and record tree data, and map field information.  In conjunction with tree measuring skills, students will gain knowledge in basic sampling theory and cruise design needed to help progress to a Timber Cruiser position.
