General Facilities Management Program


The General Facilities Management program will give participants the skills required to maintain facilities and stay safe while doing so. This program is ideal for anyone looking to enter into a facilities maintenance career or for landlords looking for the skills to do maintenance at their rental properties. This program will ladder into a longer Facilities Maintenance program we are hoping to offer in the future. 

As part of this program, participants will receive their WHMIS certificate as well as training in the following areas:

  • General Building Maintenance
  • Using & Maintaining Hand Tools, Shop Tools, Ladders, Scaffolding, and Platforms
  • Using & Maintaining Personal Safety Equipment
  • Using Measuring & Testing Devices
  • Fire Safety & Systems
  • WCB Regulations
  • Lock Out Procedures
  • Trade Terminology
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Interpreting Blueprints

 


Tuition for this program is free.
