Power Engineering Readiness


This tuition-free program has been developed in collaboration with CMTN, BCIT, and LNG
Canada, in consultation with the Government of British Columbia. This program will prepare
students for a successful career in Powering Engineering with opportunities to learn about the field and
career prospects.

Need to upgrade high school? No problem! Students will be able to upgrade Math, Science, English
and Essential Skills competencies required to enter the 4th Class Powering Engineering program and
gain employment here in the Northwest and throughout British Columbia.

This program is intended f or residents of British Columbia. Preference will be given to members of
Haisla Nation, Gitga’at First Nation, Gitxaala Nation, Kitselas First Nation, Kitsumkalum First
Nation, Lax Kw’alaams Band, Metlakatla First Nation, Métis Nation British Columbia as well as to
Kitimat and Terrace area residents.

Eligible participants will be provided with a $75.00 daily stipend while attending the program and will be eligible to receive a $500.00 financial bonus upon program completion.
