Description

In the 2000/2001 program year, the Morice Community Skills Centre (MCSC) based in Houston, BC, formally integrated its operations with Coast Mountain College to create the Morice Community Skills Centre Legacy Fund program to offer bursaries to adult students who live in the Houston area. The purpose of the MCSC Legacy Bursary Fund is to increase adult student access to education and training opportunities.

Criteria

To be eligible an applicant must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or refugee, and BC resident;
  • Be an adult student who is a resident of the Houston area (including Area G of the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako, and the Village of Granisle);
  • Have identified/applied for a post-secondary level course or program of instruction at any accredited post-secondary training institute or agency;
  • Demonstrate financial need.
