Parking & transportation

Free parking!

That's right, you read that correctly! Students, residents, staff and visitors are not charged to park at any of Coast Mountain College's campuses.

Getting here

Visit our Getting here page for information and resources for arriving to Northwest BC by air, car, ferry, train or bus.

Public transportation

Each campus hosts or is in close proximity to a public transportation bus station. For more detailed information about bus routes, please visit:

Parking lot maintenance

Throughout the year, our maintenance team is tasked with keeping our parking stalls painted and concrete clear of potholes, snow, dirt, litter, weeds and cracks. At certain times, we are forced to close sections of the parking areas to do this essential work. Please abide by the signs that will be clearly displayed during these times. If you notice something that needs to be addressed, please notify a front desk staff member.

Loading zones

Parking in loading zones is permitted only for the purpose of loading or unloading a vehicle. Vehicles that are not being unloaded or loaded in these zones will be towed at the owner's expense.

Disabled parking

Persons with mobility impairments displaying valid Disabled Persons' Parking (SPARC) Permit or any Disabled Parking Permit distributed under the Motor Vehicle Act, are encouraged to park in our designated parking stalls that are situated adjacent to main and secondary entrances. Abuse of SPARC Permit regulations is covered under the Motor Vehicle Act.

Monitoring & enforcement

Our parking lots are monitored on a regular basis during business hours to ensure compliance with the parking regulations. Vehicles that are not parked in proper stalls may be towed.

Security & liability

Any motor vehicles parked, operated, or driven on Coast Mountain College's campuses shall be solely at the risk of the owner and the operator. The College shall not be liable for any damage occurring to any such motor vehicle, vehicle contents, operator, or any other person. To help prevent theft, please leave no valuables in your vehicle. If you are witness to any parking lot accidents or security issues, please notify a front desk staff member immediately or call 911.
