Haida Campus Overview

Steeped in Indigenous cultural history and pristine beauty, Haida Gwaii is located across the Hecate Strait from Prince Rupert where there are vast distances of sandy beaches and peaceful ocean views. Coast Mountain College has sites in two communities on the islands in the Village of Queen Charlotte and in Masset.

Distances to other communities on the islands are relatively short and make our programs easily accessible to all.

Course offerings are also developed in response to community demand and continuing education and community interest courses.

Coast Mountain College also offers the Haida Gwaii Field School, an innovative university credit program open to everyone seeking a unique, life-enhancing learning experience.

"When we are drawing, painting and carving it's like we can feel our ancestors watching us, and I just know they would be proud of us,  that we're still practicing our art form. We're keeping it alive. We're still here."-- Jaimie Davis, Artist & Program Graduate. Learn more.
