Coronavirus update

Feb 04, 2020

At Coast Mountain College the health and safety of our staff, faculty and students is top of mind. As such, the college leadership is monitoring the developments of the current coronavirus situation closely.

At this time, Coast Mountain College has no reports of suspected cases of coronavirus and the risk of infection remains very low.

Federal and provincial public health agencies, and regional health authorities across BC are monitoring the outbreak and CMTN leadership is in contact with health officials and should any developments occur, we will inform our community. The most up-to-date information on the outbreak is available at the BC Centre for Disease Control website.

Students and staff are reminded to wash your hands with soap and water regularly and practice proper coughing and sneezing etiquette by covering your mouth with your elbow sleeve when you cough or sneeze, dispose of used tissues appropriately and avoid contact with sick people.

If you suspect that you may have been exposed to, or are experiencing symptoms of, the coronavirus, please contact your primary-care provider, local public health office or call 8-1-1 for free health information and advice.
