Student loan relief announced
The federal and provincial governments have announced student loan payment relief for the next six months.
BC Student Loans
On March 25, 2020, BC’s Premier John Horgan announced that Starting March 30, 2020, BC student loan payments are automatically frozen for six months.

Canada Student Loans
Effective March 30, the federal government is placing a six-month interest-free moratorium on the repayment of Canada Student Loans for all student loan borrowers. No payment will be required and interest will not accrue during this time. Students do not need to apply for the repayment pause.
