Smithers, BC -- Coast Mountain College and the Town of Smithers extend a warm welcome to the new cohort of students beginning their studies at the Smithers campus. This spring intake includes 20 students from across the globe, including Bangladesh, Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Nigeria, and the Philippines.
"Our Business Administration Program is welcoming 20 international students who will start classes at the beginning of May,” says Dawn McConnell, Manager of Community and Student Wellbeing. "The Business Program in Smithers is in its sixth year and we have many alumni who have stayed in the community and now fill important roles for local businesses. We are thankful that Smithers offers so much opportunity for newcomers.”
Mayor Gladys Atrill says, “I offer a heartfelt welcome to Smithers to all the incoming international students at Coast Mountain College! What an exciting adventure you are on, combining your education with life in another country. On behalf of Town Council, we hope you are able to enjoy what our community has to offer.
