The technical world needs you.

We live in a world of changing technology that advances every day. Complete the first year of your engineering degree at CMTN and transfer your credits to a university program.

Coast Mountain College is a member of the BC Transfer System and participates with the BC Transfer Guide, as overseen by the BC Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT).

You can transfer CMTN courses to a number of institutions in BC that offer engineering degrees, including UBCSFU, and UVic.

CMTN's Engineering Certificate covers most the Common First Year Engineering Curriculum (CFYEC). It does not include Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Design and Drafting, and Engineering Design and Sustainability which are required courses for the first-year of a Bachelor of Engineering in BC. Students will need to make alternate arrangements to fulfill these requirements prior to entering their second year at another institution. Contact advising@coastmountaincollege.ca to learn more about your options.

Upon completing your Engineering Certificate at Coast Mountain College, you can then transfer into the second year at the institution and program of your choice in fields such as:

  • Physics
  • Astronomy
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Engineering
  • Programming
