UNBC Guaranteed Admission

Guaranteed pathways to complete your northern degree.

Complete your two-year Associate of Arts Degree or Associate of Science Degree at Coast Mountain College and transfer to the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) to finish your Bachelor’s Degree.

Successfully completed courses will be transferred at the time of admission to UNBC as outlined in the BC Transfer Guide or refer to the following equivalency guides for a summary. Pathway Requirements

In order to be guaranteed admission direct into the third-year of the degree, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Apply direct to UNBC
  • Submit transcripts demonstrating successful completion of an Associate’s Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all university transfer courses*
  • Meet any specific department program requirements.

Guaranteed admission is available to both Canadian and international students.

*Note that a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher is also acceptable; however admission is not guaranteed. A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is required to be eligible for guaranteed admission.

Applicants who have not completed an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree will be considered for admission as external transfer students on a credit-by-credit basis, based on the assessment of transfer credits for the courses completed.
