COVID-19 update #9

Mar 23, 2020

At Coast Mountain College we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation very closely. We continue to be guided by the Provincial Health Officer and are working with the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. The health of our college community, students and employees remains our top priority.

Distributed learning classes begin today

For most students, today marks moving into new ways of learning as we transition away from face-to-face classes. A big thank-you to our faculty and instructors for embracing the challenge of moving to new distributed learning models to promote the physical distancing required during this time. With the support of the Centre of Learning Transformation team, our IT department, Associate Deans and Deans, we have been able to accomplish a lot in a short period of time.

If a student has not been contacted by their instructor they should contact the Registrar’s office to indicate which class they are in for follow up by one of our Deans or Associate Deans. Students are reminded to check their email for updates. Current students are reminded that if their contact information has changed, to please update their myCMTN account.

If you are ill, please stay home

A reminder that anyone who is feeling ill should stay home and communicate with their manager. And any students that are ill are also expected to stay home.
