CMTN to experience telecommunication delays during B.C.'s state of emergency

Nov 19, 2021

We are asking all CMTN students, staff and faculty to please be patient with our lagging campus networks.

B.C. has declared a state of emergency following the natural disasters caused by historic rainfall that hit parts of the province earlier this week.

In result, many telecommunications towers that carry service into our region have either been destroyed or are in need of dire repair.

Emergency crews continue to deal with disaster relief while BCNET is working to restore network services.

Internet, mobile and landline services around our CMTN campuses will continue to experience slowness and dropped connections until the telecommunications system in B.C. is fully restored.
