Planning in Times of Change

We are in unprecedented times of change in terms of climate, resources, and population change. How do planners play a role in this?  This field school explores the dynamic field of planning from its history to present day and its possible futures. This experience will highlight real-life planning scenarios that are relevant to communities in our area, especially Indigenous communities. The various roles of public, politicians, and planners in the field of planning will be explored. Students will participate in a planning project for a local community! Professor Joanne Nelson, Ts'msyen, will bring her passion for Indigenous issues into the world of planning.

Additional fees for this field school include all travel/transportation and shared meals when required.
