Website Analyst (Terrace)

Job description and duties

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a full-time Website Analyst commencing as soon as possible.  A flexible schedule is required as some evening and weekend work may be necessary as well as some travel between campuses. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff, Level 14: $2,852.50 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.

Duties:  The Website Analyst II will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the college’s website. This role involves collaboration with various internal departments to ensure the website is functional, user-friendly, and aligns with the college’s goals. The developer will also work closely with external hosting providers, developers and designers to maintain and refresh the College website and ensure that the College goals are reflected in the website.   The role will also be responsible for the development of the college's internal SharePoint-based intranet. Security and privacy awareness, including compliance with relevant provincial and federal regulations, is critical in this role.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or web development. Required experience includes a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in web design or systems administration (preferably in post-secondary education), web content management systems, front-end and back-end web development design, and maintenance, UI/UX design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web related technologies. The successful candidate demonstrates proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft systems and knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics and best practices. A combination of education, experience and skills may be considered.

  • Intuitive and service oriented with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to function effectively across cultures, particularly with the Indigenous communities
  • Persuasive and engaging communication skills with an ability to clearly express ideas and deliver captivating and dynamic presentations
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to support others in achieving a common goal and establishing a positive work environment
  • Class 5 Driver’s License
