Introduction to Health Practices

A semester-long course offered to high school students.

Pursue a health career and contribute to a healthier world. Enrol in our semester-long course to explore your professional aspirations and develop your academic plan towards a career in healthcare.

Introduction to Health Practices is open to high school students in grades 10, 11 and 12 and provides an overview of Health Care delivery in Canada. It is part of our Dual Credit program, where your school district pays your tuition and where you earn dual credits on your high school transcript and your CMTN transcript. If you’re interested in becoming a Health Care Assistant, this course also transfers directly into our program.

Through classroom and hands-on lab work, you will learn about the physical, social, psychological, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and environmental dimensions of health careers in Canada.
