Campus Store Coordinator / Printshop Technician (Terrace Campus)

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a Term full-time Campus Store Coordinator / Printshop Technician, commencing May 1, 2024 to February 3, 2025 (subject to a leave). Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff Salary Scale, Level 12:  $2,569.00 bi-weekly.

Coordinate and supervise daily store operations for all CMTN campus stores, retail operations, and coordinate the purchasing of textbooks and related supplies for all CMTN courses and programs. Responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the Print Shop, and serves as the print production focal point for CMTN.

Duties will include:

  • Develop goals and supervise daily operations and security policies for all campus stores.
  • Develop and compile budget information, monitor budget variances and provide year-end forecasting
  • Provide direction, prioritize, assign and review the work of all campus store employees
  • Provide staff training, technical support and inventory control; instruct staff in safe work practices, accident prevention, safe keeping of cash deposits to all CMTN campuses
  • Provide high quality, cost effective printing services for faculty, staff, and students
  • Provide photocopier technical support to all campuses
  • Prepare quotes, financial information and reports
  • Perform clerical duties and other related duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Minimum of a Business Administration Diploma (degree preferred). Experience includes a minimum of 5 years of experience in retail sales with demonstrated retail display and merchandising experience and 5 years of demonstrated experience supervising multiple employees.

Required skills/knowledge includes:

  • Advanced knowledge of computer inventory and accounting systems, including budget development, forecasting and variance reporting (Booklog, Colleague and EasyR preferred)
  • Proven knowledge and ability to develop and implement successful marketing programs
  • Detail-oriented with the demonstrated ability to work both  independently as well as with a team in an open, fast- paced environment while dealing with frequent interruptions
  • Proven excellence in customer service with well-developed interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Detailed knowledge and advanced proficiency with MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40lbs
  • Knowledge of Access Copyright regulations
  • Knowledge of print shop processes and procedures, terminology and equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and identify routine maintenance and calibration needs
  • Detail Oriented and the ability to manage tight deadlines despite frequent interruptions
